Join, Match, Sail – Embrace the World of Sailing
Welcome to the Sailing & Cruising Association (S&CA), the premier club for LGBT+ sailors and their friends and family in the UK. As the home of gay sailing in the UK, we offer a diverse and vibrant community for all sailing enthusiasts. Furthermore, joining us means setting sail on an adventure of a lifetime.
Firstly, joining S&CA means becoming part of a community that shares your passion for sailing. Our annual membership includes several benefits. You will enjoy free attendance at our on-water and land events. Moreover, you’ll have access to our exclusive Sail & Learn programs for beginners. Additionally, there are Crew Match opportunities for experienced sailors to join events at sea. Skippers also receive assistance with charter organization and crew gathering. Importantly, social connections are fostered via our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages. Also, our NewsBuoy magazine, the club’s official journal, shares stories and memories. Last but not least, exclusive S&CA merchandise is available for purchase.
As a volunteer-run, virtual organization, S&CA operates with minimal costs. Consequently, this allows us to offer affordable membership options: Individual Membership is £15 per year, and Joint Membership is £25 per year, for members sharing the same address.
Note: Skippers may request contributions for voyage costs like diesel, marina charges, and food. Therefore, budget approximately £30 per day/night.
Your journey with S&CA starts here! Membership renewal is annual, beginning from the first day of the month following your joining date. Each member, including joint members, has one vote at meetings. Joining is quick and easy, offering ‘pay as you go’ or auto-renewal options for hassle-free membership.
