We are absolutely delighted to be able to announce, at last, the return of the club’s annual Laying Up Supper spectacular. This is the perfect opportunity for members (old and new), from all over the country, to gather together to renew old acquaintances, and meet new friends, for an evening of fun and frolics. It is also the perfect opportunity to celebrate our club, which must now be one of the longest running gay clubs in the UK, and certainly the longest surviving gay sailing club in the world.
Champagne Charlies is a lovely bar and restaurant nestled under the arches at Charing Cross. The restaurant can cater for up to 100 and so it is important that you submit your reservation as soon as possible as we are expecting demand to be high.
The cost is £70 per person, and includes an introductory glass of fizz, a three-course meal (with a choice of menu, including vegetarian), plus a half bottle of wine per person, tea, coffee…….and Mints!
Non-alcoholic drinks will, of course, be available and the bar will remain open throughout for the purchase of additional drinks as required.
The evening commences at 6pm with the welcome drink (the bar will also be open), followed by the meal at 7.30pm (you’ll be seated and serviced by the waiter). The Commodore’s ‘End of Season Review’, plus the annual club Awards will follow after tea, coffee…… and Mints!
The restaurant closes at 11pm, which is perfect timing for those wishing to continue the merriment, possibly at Heaven Night Club, which is literally a rather weak ‘stone’s throw’ across the passage way!
Dress Code: From smart casual upwards (including Dinner Jackets and Tuxedos), dresses if you wish, and kilts most certainly welcome!

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
The club will endeavour to provide full refunds for event charges when cancellations are made by you through the Website and made in good time. Normally, a week before the event is due to take place will be sufficient.
If the club has made third party bookings, paid deposits or made other commitments, it may be that only a partial refund or no refund is offered.
Where a refund is requested due to dissatisfaction with third party goods or services, a refund will only be offered if such refund is also made to the club by the third party.
