The S&CA will venture west to Poole for the August Bank holiday weekend, with two nights mooring booked at Poole Quay Marina, giving us plenty of options for the Sunday - See the details below.

(Optional) Friday night at anchor - For those that want to get ahead or break the journey, some crews historically anchor on the Friday evening in Alum Bay / Keyhaven dependent on the weather.

Saturday 26th August  - Sail to Studland & Poole Quay.

A day sail down the Solent and across Poole Bay, with berths booked at the delightful Poole Quay Boat Haven, giving direct access to the pubs and restaurants of Poole. Due to the long sail crews will be able to make their own plans for the evening.

Sunday 27th August - Brownsea Island Trail & Picnic (or Studland Bay)

At about 11am we'll poodle across to Brownsea Island where we can beach the dingy's and then take a leisurely stroll around the stunning Island, observe the Red Squirrels, Peacocks and Deer whilst competing a short treasure trail. Weather permitting we'll gather for a Picnic before returning to Poole Quay for Pontoon Drinks.

NOTE: There is a charge to land on the island (payable on the day)

Alternatively, if the weather is idlic we may head for the Gay beach at Studland.

Dinner arrangements are down to individual crews, noting there are many pubs and restaurants in the area.
