Registration

Registration is closed

Following from the success of our Sail & Learn events, we are repeating the concept, allowing those who have completed part of their training on previous events to complete the course to  obtain the formal "RYA Competent Crew" qualification, as well as open booking to other inexperienced/rusty sailors who want to refine their sailing skills and work towards the qualification.

This event will be hosted by our Rear Commodore Training, Tomos, an experienced Oceanmaster Instructor at Commodore Yachting (www.commodore-yachting.com.  Tom is offering Comp crew training (heavily discounted) during the sail and learn events which cost £200 per person for two days training or £300 for three days, based upon 6 attendees, and includes yacht hire, tuition and food.

This event will operate on a first come first served basis, so please register (there are two options, to register interest in order to find out more, or register and pay to confirm your place.  We are likely to run more sail and learn events next year, so don't worry if we reach full capacity.

The event will start in the morning on Friday 16 September 2022 at Commodore Yachting's Gosport Offices, whereby Tomos will spend time with the attendees familiarising them with their boat and preparing for the days ahead.  Please aim to arrive late afternoon/evening of 15 September2022 as Tom plans to set sail early on the 16th.  Accommodation on the yacht and training is included.  You will return to Gosport mid afternoon on Sunday 18 September 2022 so should be ready to head home around 5-6pm after cleaning down the boat.

Your skipper, Tomos, will then be in charge for the weekend and ensure attendees gain as much experience on the water as possible.

Those keen participate in the event will need to pay up front by registering as a confirmed attendee.   Alternatively, please register interest for the event and discuss with Tomos.  This event is open to Club Members (those new to sailing, inexperienced, or keen to brush up rusty skills) and also potential new members who want to try sailing and gain basic skills before committing to joining club events.
