CRUISE IN COMPANY

An opportunity to take in another of the East Coast Rivers. Join us for a weekend at this quaint coastal town, with good pubs and river walks. East Coasters will enjoy a gentle trip and relaxed 2 days at Burnham. Burnham lies about 14miles down the River Crouch with access at all states of the tide. A great opportunity for a shakedown sail.

For any boats in the Medway or Swale, SOLACE will be at Queenborough/Stangate from Friday evening 30/4

Berthing information at Burnham - We have reserved 6 berths at Burnham at registration opening on first come first served basis. We have been asked to confirm boat details c. 2 weeks before arrival. Please email eastcoast@gaysaiing.org.uk with your boat Name, length, draft and crew names by 9/4 and we will pass to the marina. Payment will be made by skippers directly on arrival. We will leave registration open past 9/4, but skippers may need to contact Burnham directly for berths

*Shore-based Members* - Due to COVID, this event has no formally arranged shore-based activities or meeting points. If you have not pre-arranged a crew place or made arrangements directly with skippers, and are considering attending please ensure that you contact the organiser at least 5 days before the event, in order to establish if it is feasible for you to meet up and where/how. Please do not be offended if it is not feasible or is necessary to cancel at very short notice...we are genuinely welcoming! Any agreed social will be in accordance with COVID rules and outside.

Skippers - Please ensure that you are self-sufficient for meals. Current rules mean that it is not possible for the club to book restaurants. You are of course welcome to make your own arrangements directly.

Please let me know if you are sailing solo and I will try and ensure that you can enjoy some social scene

A Club arranged Meal has been removed from the activities.

COVID NOTE

The Committee intends that club events will go ahead wherever possible in 2021, and the planned events are not intended to be cancelled unless they are clearly prohibited by government restrictions.

All events will be run as 'Cruise in Company'.  All participants must comply with and be individually responsible for relevant guidance or regulations such as socially distancing,  maximum group sizes and household mixing during any interaction of crew groups.

It will be the responsibility of individual skippers to comply with relevant guidance or regulations in respect of crewing arrangements and the safety of their crews.  This includes, but is not limited to - hygiene precautions, social distancing, group sizes and mixing of households on board.

Due to the uncertainty over Covid risks and restrictions at the time of the event, activities and catered dining arrangements (Plan A) are subject to change or cancellation.  Crews will need to be prepared for a Plan B of switching to an open air BBQ in individual crew groups or catering on board for example.

All attendees must be registered for the event for track and trace purposes.

ANYONE EXPERIENCING COVID SYMPTOMS MUST NOT ATTEND

GETTING HELP TO JOIN US
