Registration

Registration is closed

Please See COVID NOTE below.  Fingers crossed, this open air, self catered event will hopefully not be subject to major changes due to Covid!

The ever popular Yarmouth beach BBQ is usually one of the best attended events of the season.  Later than usual this year, as this was the only weekend in the season when Yarmouth was not already fully booked!  Crews will muster at Yarmouth Harbour on the Saturday afternoon where berths have been reserved.

Land based participants are welcome to join the group anytime from Saturday afternoon.

Saturday 18th September

Crews will make their way to Yarmouth to meet by early evening for drinks on the pontoons.  We will then make our way to the usual spot on the beach for the evening BBQ.  We will hold a cocktail competition.  Each crew is to prepare a signature drink of their choice to serve to other members of the group at the BBQ.

The party on the beach usually goes on late into the night around a bonfire!

Bring your own BBQ, utensils, signature cocktail, drinks and food.

Sunday 19th September

There may be an opportunity to organize a Sunday morning activity such as breakfast at a cafe in Yarmouth Town, a Visit to Yarmouth Castle or a beach walk.

Head for home ports (this may involve a bit of a slog against the tide for those heading East).

Skippers' Notes

HW Portsmouth 10:42 on Saturday 18th 11:31 Sunday 19th

Berths are now confirmed for all vessels registered as of Tuesday 14th.   Advance payment is not required, but you must pay on arrival or prior to departure.

Call the Berthing Masters on VHF CH 68 on Approach.  They will advise when you can enter the harbour subject to ferry movements and provide berthing instructions.  Please state that you are with the S&CA Rally and ask to be berthed together with the group.

We will be rafted on the linear pontoon, but previous experiences at Yarmouth is that even for rallies they operate a degree of first come first served policy and have sometimes mingled us with other rallies or general visitors.

COVID NOTE

The Committee intends that club events will go ahead wherever possible in 2021, and the planned events are not intended to be cancelled unless they are clearly prohibited by government restrictions.

All events will be run as 'Cruise in Company'.  All participants must comply with and be individually responsible for relevant guidance or regulations such as socially distancing,  maximum group sizes and household mixing during any interaction of crew groups.

It will be the responsibility of individual skippers to comply with relevant guidance or regulations in respect of crewing arrangements and the safety of their crews.  This includes, but is not limited to - hygiene precautions, social distancing, group sizes and mixing of households on board.

Due to the uncertainty over Covid risks and restrictions at the time of the event, activities and catered dining arrangements (Plan A) are subject to change or cancellation.  Crews will need to be prepared for a Plan B of switching to an open air BBQ in individual crew groups or catering on board for example.

All attendees must be registered for the event for track and trace purposes.

ANYONE EXPERIENCING COVID SYMPTOMS MUST NOT ATTEND
