The Late May Spring Bank Holiday rally is booked for two nights at Buckler's Hard.  Plan A is evening drinks and BBQ in the boatyard Marquees with shore activities of roll and grab, a walk to the village of Beaulieu and optional visit to the attractions at Beaulieu.  Cookery and boozy bake-off competition.

Registration is limited to 30 people, which is the maximum group size permitted to meet outside according to the roadmap.  Cancellations are possible, so a waitlist will operate if the event is oversubscribed.

Please note the booking requirements at Buckler's Hard below

THE PLAN

Saturday 29th May

Home ports to Buckler's Hard newly extended Marina, where we have reserved berths for 15 boats and the BBQ area and Marquee for our private use.  All registrants will need to bring a present (value approximately £5) gift-wrapped for a game of the popular 'Roll and Grab'.

Sunday 30th May

Ashore at Buckler's Hard and Beaulieu.  The 'unofficial' daytime shore activity is a walk to Beaulieu village (unfortunately they will not allow us to leave dinghies at the top of the river,  although if we get some dinghy captain volunteers people can be dropped off and picked up by water).  We will set off and walk from Buckler's Hard in smaller groups at around 11am and take a picnic lunch.

Unfortunately there was insufficient interest to make a group booking for the optional visit to the Beaulieu attractions.  Individual bookings can still be made via their website, but there is already only very limited availability, and available slots are close to the end of the admittance times nearest to closing!

We have the Marquee reserved for the evening, there will be a cookery and boozy bake-off competition.  Crews will bring their own ingredients to prepare their evening meal, ingredients will be provided for a basic cake mix, to which crews will add a slosh of their favourite tipple from ship's stores.  Prizes for the most adventurous meal, and for the most impressive boozy bake.

Monday 31st May

Head for home ports

BERTHIG ARRANGEMENTS FOR SKIPPERS

Skippers need to call the Beaulieu River Harbour office in advance to book pay for their berthing and secure the booking at least 2 weeks in advance (the website suggests at least 7 days, but the club needs to confirm details of confirmed bookings with them two weeks before).  Failure to book ahead in sufficient time could mean that there is no availability.  Please ask to be booked in under the Sailing and Cruising Association rally.

COVID NOTE

The Committee intends that club events will go ahead wherever possible in 2021, and the planned events are not intended to be cancelled unless they are clearly prohibited by government restrictions.

All events will be run as 'Cruise in Company'.  All participants must comply with and be individually responsible for relevant guidance or regulations such as socially distancing,  maximum group sizes and household mixing during any interaction of crew groups.

It will be the responsibility of individual skippers to comply with relevant guidance or regulations in respect of crewing arrangements and the safety of their crews.  This includes, but is not limited to - hygiene precautions, social distancing, group sizes and mixing of households on board.

Due to the uncertainty over Covid risks and restrictions at the time of the event, activities and catered dining arrangements (Plan A) are subject to change or cancellation.  Crews will need to be prepared for a Plan B of switching to an open air BBQ in individual crew groups or catering on board for example.

All attendees must be registered for the event for track and trace purposes.

ANYONE EXPERIENCING COVID SYMPTOMS MUST NOT ATTEND
