Ruby Jubilee Vintage Extravaganza
Come along and enjoy this spectacular event to celebrate 40+ years of S&CA. The vintage bus will take you on a scenic route, to arrive at the Isle of Wight Historic Railway.
Numbers are limited, so early booking is advised. Registration will close two weeks before the event in order for us to confirm vessel details to the marina and to confirm numbers for the bus and train.
‘The Old Girl’, as she is affectionately known, was purchased new in 1939 and, unlike most vintage buses, this beautiful specimen has spent her entire life - that's over 80 years - on the Isle of Wight with Southern Vectis, her original owner. The bus has 56 seats, 30 of which are on the upper deck and 26 in the lower saloon, all are forward facing complying with covid travel requirements.
The Isle of Wight Steam Railway is in Havenstreet and will take you along the award-winning railway line, seated in beautifully restored Victorian and Edwardian carriages, to enjoy a unique view of the island's unspoilt landscapes.
NB: the Last Wight of the Proms is now no longer an option as the date has been moved.
Skippers - See below for berthing arrangements at East Cowes, unfortunately there are restrictions due to their capacity issues this year.

Info for Skippers
East Cowes Marina have constraints on capacity this season, so we have only been able to provisionally reserve 10 berths (3 remaining), and the maximum vessel length is 45'. Berths will be allocated as 'first come first served' and must be booked by individual skippers. We recommend booking ASAP on event registration to avoid disappointment and in any event the marina are likely to release any unused berths from our allocation to the public 2 weeks before the event.
If you need a larger berth, or miss out on the allocation please try the other marinas in the area. They were unable to accept a rally booking but may be able to accommodate individual vessels.

Covid Note
The Committee intends that club events will go ahead wherever possible in 2021, and the planned events are not intended to be cancelled unless they are clearly prohibited by government restrictions.
All events will be run as 'Cruise in Company'. All participants must comply with and be individually responsible for relevant guidance or regulations such as socially distancing, maximum group sizes and household mixing during any interaction of crew groups.
It will be the responsibility of individual skippers to comply with relevant guidance or regulations in respect of crewing arrangements and the safety of their crews. This includes, but is not limited to - hygiene precautions, social distancing, group sizes and mixing of households on board.
Due to the uncertainty over Covid risks and restrictions at the time of the event, activities and catered dining arrangements (Plan A) are subject to change or cancellation. Crews will need to be prepared for a Plan B of switching to an open air BBQ in individual crew groups or catering on board for example.
All attendees must be registered for the event for track and trace purposes.
ANYONE EXPERIENCING COVID SYMPTOMS MUST NOT ATTEND
