You were keen to observe another chilly, adventurous get together, during the month where temperatures really are starting to dip. So here it is,
This is purely designed to be a relaxed gathering following a hopeful, vibrant sail. No doubt, the majority of you will have those sails up taking advantage of the winter wind. As Halloween is so close, Evil witches will no doubt secretly leave parcels for each attendee and set us a spooky afternoon game.
Arrangements will be made for winter rate berthing at ‘The ShepherdsWharf Marina’ within West Cowes’. The Event Organiser/Host will be responsible for booking berths for skippers
The dining element will see us take over a locally run ‘husband and wife‘ cosy ‘Halloween themed’ eatery where all food is freshly cooked’.
You will be required to pre select your food choices and pay your event fee of £16.50 at the point of registration. It is a 2 course selection. Meal choices are as follows:
MAINS
*Premium 6oz burger - served with salad and fries
*Homemade chicken & leek shortcrust pastry pie with chips & vegetables
*Homemade fish pie (White, Pink and Smoked fish) served with vegetables
*Vegetarian curry - served with garlic naan, white rice and mango chutney
DESSERTS
*Homemade apple pie served with custard
*Hot chocolate fudge cake served with cream
*Homemade pavlova
*Isle of Wight cheese board
ENTERTAINMENT - ‘The Cafe Game’ - This will become clear on the day, but a brief bit of pontoon fun will see you screaming “Higher” “Lower” and delving into spooky envelopes.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
1.Register your attendance via the S&CA website by Sunday 3rd November
2.Visit the Facebook CrewMatch page for all crewing opportunities
3.Upon arrival, skippers will be required to contact the marina for specific instructions. (please state you are part of the S&CA/Sailing&Cruising Association Rally).
4.You can bring along friends, but remember to ‘add guest’ at the point of your registration
