IOW Pride Saturday 21st July
This is the last call out for ‘Pride in Ryde’. There is still time to register for this event. If you are considering bringing your boat, but do not have crew, there are members on the S&CA Facebook CrewMatch page looking for berths. As always, those wishing to join us by land are also very welcome. Do join us.
The Isle of Wight won as hosts UK Pride 2018, the only pride on the beach.
If you have not already, do Register onto this event. Whether you arrive by boat or by foot. come and join the parade as we dance our way through Ryde representing the S&CA. We have t-shirts, hats, flags and banners, and are all set to make a big splash.
Things you need to do:
1. Register your attendance ASAP and order your free t-shirt
2. Register for your tickets to attend the Party on the Beach at: https://www.outsavvy.com/event/1063/iwpride Its a free event, but you need a ticket to enter.
3. If you have a boat, book yourself into Ryde Harbour or East Cowes Marina (mention S&CA to be near other members).
4. Show up and have fun.
More details will follow, but here is the basic plan:
09:25 - Catch the No4 bus from Waitrose in East Cowes to Ryde.
10:00-11:00 - Assemble at Ryde School, Queen Road, PO33 3BE
12:00 - Parade moves off
14:00 onwards - Beach Party (make sure you have registered for your free ticket via the above website).
Whilst at Ryde School, we can organise our formation, make finishing touches to our flags etc and practice our moves! Its going to be very exciting
