Who will find the Treasure at the End of the Rainbow?
When - 1030 Saturday 16 June
Where - The Solent
This year’s theme is The Swinging Sixties.
Participating boats will gather in a mid-Solent location at 1030 (precise timing to be confirmed). In the evening, on shore and under cover, there will be a catered premium BBQ of fish, meat and vegetarian options plus dessert. In between, a number of nautical, cerebral and artistic challenges will lead the ultimate winner to the treasure chest at the end of the rainbow.
The organisers have developed a sophisticated scoring matrix which will add or subtract points for good and poor seamanship, punctuality and other matters. In addition to the overall victor, prizes will be awarded for best costumes and other notable achievements during the day.
Participation will not be secured until payment of £27 per person has been paid.
Skippers with spare berths and crew looking for berths are initially advised to visit the S&CA Facebook Crewmatch page. If unsuccessful, please email [email protected]
Registration closes at midnight on Sunday 3 June. No reimbursements or amendments will be made after this date.
Registration process - all those attending must register via the S&CA website. For joint members who are both attending, both must register. Unlike previous years, Skippers are NOT responsible for registering their crews. We encourage crews to register themselves. To register your joint partner, friend or other members as part of your registration, you are required to click on the ADD GUEST option. If registering other people, you will be responsible for paying their meal when signing up. When registering, each person including guests, will need to indicate if they are crew (if so you must state what boat you are attending on) or a skipper (where you will be responsible for advising your boat is attending).
