It has become an annual tradition for our July drinks take place at the Dickens Inn beside St Katharine Dock instead of our usual venue near Charing Cross. This is where founding members met, with a copy of a yachting magazine rolled up under their arm, back in July 1980!
Throughout the Club's history, the London Social as been an important opportunity for potential crew to meet skippers, share sailing plans, tell stories of our adventures, and to give potential new members the opportunity to find out a bit more about the club in person. Whether you're a current S&CA member, or thinking of joining the Club, you are welcome to join welcome to come along to the Founders Drinks London Social from 7pm.
Unfortunately, this venue doesn't let us book a room / space so we'll have to gather. Those who want for meet for food at the pub, you might want to arrive a little early and get a table. Based on previous experience, since we don't have a reserved area, it can be difficult to find/identify each other... thankfully we don't have to rely on a rolled up copy of Yachting monthly, but we may try setting up a WhatsApp group for the event to allow people to find each other... so please indicate whether you want to be added when you register for this event.
