Following from the success of our Easter Bank Holiday Sail & Learn event, we are repeating the concept, allowing those trainees from Easter to complete their training and open to other NEW MEMBERS who want to refine their sailing skills and obtain the formal "Competent Crew" qualification.
This event will be hosted by our Rear Commodore Training, Tomas, and our commercial partner, Commodore Yachting (www.commodore-yachting.com) and therefore there will be a (heavily discounted) charge payable to them. At present, Tomas estimates costs of around £200 for two days training and based upon 6 attendees. This event will operate on a first come first served basis, so please register and arrange payment with Tomas. If we reach full capacity, we are likely to organise another such event later in the season.
The event will start on 6 August 2022 at Commodore Yachting's Gosport Offices, whereby Tomas will spend time with the attendees familiarising them with their boat and preparing for the days ahead. Please be able to arrive late afternoon/evening of 5 August 2022, so ready for an early start on the next day. Accommodation on the yacht and training is included. You will return to Gosport on 7 August 2022.
Your skipper, Tomas, will then be in charge for the weekend and ensure attendees gain as much experience on the water as possible.
